Biography

I am a mechanical engineer with a PhD in industrial engineering and information systems. Intrigued by the internet revolution, I started my PhD in 2018 in Denmark, where I primarily worked with LEGO and Danfoss as case companies. The Manufacturing Academy of Denmark (made.dk) financed my work, where I applied Industry 4.0 principles to factory operations and was able to bring my research into practice. Before PhD, I have about five years of work-ex in the industry and consulting.

I am passionate about advanced digital technologies and believe in their ability to resolve significant global challenges, such as food insecurity. With a growing fascination for thinking machines, I like to design information systems architectures drawing from stakeholder inputs to use modern artificial intelligence solutions and the internet of things. In addition, I am interested in enabling the efficient use of manufacturing data from the factory floor to the cloud to prevent supply chain shortages. In the future, I hope to continue working with programmers and computer scientists to apply machine learning techniques to industrial problems.

Due to my climate change volunteering streak since high school, I previously volunteered closely for a few environmental groups such as iycn.in, ecologise.in and Lamakaan in my hometown, Hyderabad. I enjoy nature walks and sports and have a red belt in kickboxing.
