Biography
Dr. Sanjeev Ghai, a distinguished scholar in mechanical engineering, earned his undergraduate degree with first-class honors and a gold medal from Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar, in 2013. He then pursued a Dual Masters and PhD in mechanical engineering, specializing in turbulent combustion, at the esteemed Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, completing his studies in 2019.
Following his doctoral studies, Dr. Ghai made notable contributions as a Research Associate at Newcastle University until April 2024, where he furthered his expertise and research prowess.
In April 2024, Dr. Ghai transitioned to the University of Cambridge, where he continues to pursue his scholarly endeavors at the forefront of mechanical engineering. His research focuses on Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), with an emphasis on turbulence, heat transfer, and computational combustion. Dr. Ghai's expertise extends to advanced turbulence chemistry interaction models such as PDF and MMC methods, as well as Direct Numerical Simulations (DNS) of flame-wall interactions.
