I am Director of the Centre for Climate Repair as well as Director of Research for Cambridge Zero.

I supported the effort in Covid-19 by serving on the:
- Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (SAGE) Environmental Modelling Group and Transmission Working Group for SARS-CoV-2
- Royal Society Rapid Assistance for Modelling the Pandemic (RAMP) team
- Independent High-Risk Aerosol Generating Procedures Panel
- DCMS Events Research Programme Science Board
- DCMS Venues Steering Group
I serve on the WHO High-Level Expert Group on COVID-19 and was one of the authors for the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) guidance on emerging from lockdown. I support the work of the Royal Academy of Engineering Policy Centre on Infection Resilient Buildings.
I was appointed by the UNFCCC Supervisory Body to be included on the Roster of Experts and serve as a Methodologies Expert.
Biography
Before taking up the positions as Director of the Centre for Climate Repair I was Director of the Royal Institution and prior to that CEO of Breathing Buildings Ltd, a leading technology company pioneering hybrid ventilation systems. Prior to founding Breathing Buildings in 2006 I was a Research Associate at the University of Cambridge, undertook a number of business strategy roles in the private sector, and from 1995 to 1997 was a Faculty Member at Stanford University leading the Geothermal Research Program.
