Biography
I have been a teacher, coordinator and developer of courses and materials for the Engineering Language Unit, now CLIC, for over 20 years. I come from north-eastern Argentina and Buenos Aires and my heritage is Italian. As well as having Spanish as my first language, I speak English since childhood and am fluent in Mediterranean languages such as Italian and modern Greek. I graduated as a University Teacher of English in Argentina and relocated to the UK to specialise in literature, where I continued to teach Spanish as a foreign language. I had opportunities to write materials and textbooks for Hodder Education, Hachette UK, BBC Languages, the Language Centre and other institutions while teaching Spanish at all levels and specialising in LSP for both the Sciences (Engineering and Chemistry) and Humanities (Literature and Film). Even though I am a Humanist/Educator, Engineering runs in my family and I also completed one year of Biochemistry. Writing and Teaching are my passions.
