Biography
Andrew Wheeler obtained his PhD from Cambridge University at the Whittle Laboratory. He has held positions at the University of Oxford as the Rolls-Royce Research Fellow, and prior to his current position he was a lecturer at the University of Southampton. His research interests are related to turbomachinery aerodynamics, unsteady flows, dense gas dynamics and heat transfer. He has worked widely in the field of turbomachinery aerodynamics and has undertaken and managed experiments in both high-speed and low-speed flows. He is experienced in the use of fast-response sensors, and pressure and temperature instrumentation for continuous and transient facilities.
